This year the city’s residents and visitors alike will be regaled with programmes in keeping with the highest of European standards. The first four months of the year will feature world stars including Rhoda Scott, the King’s Singers, and the Richard Bona band. The cultural events including the Pécs University Days, the Francophone Week, the Spring Festival, the Greek Festival, and the Chopin memorial evenings are expected to attract big audiences.

The programme booklet that the reader is now holding in his or her hand gives detailed information concerning the wide range of events designed to satisfy every cultural need. These programme booklets will be published regularly and will be available at the offices of the Pécs2010 Infopoint network as well as at other information offices throughout the ECoC year.
